Is my room covered by home and contents insurance? - home contents calculator

Rent a room in an apartment owner and the brother of the owner rented the other room. Stolen has been, and all my equipment was stolen. The owner makes a claim to the house and contents insurance, but not pay for my items stolen from the room.

You should when dealing with the insurance policy.

Why not be entitled to his business? If they agree, for this opportunity for you might want to make a contribution to the insurance or provide their own in the future.

Part of their research was to understand how the thief got - it was something that the owner must have thought - for example, the lack of security at the door or window.

Dion mostly with this insurance covers only what the owner did not have his personal belongings. I suggest u get your own optional renters insurance (not) expensive and photographed possible.ie things around electronic devices like computers, printers, stereos, etc., and get the serial number of all is what's real value .. In this way, if it is stolen, damaged or proof of ownership .. It would also help if U Saved all revenue from these products .. Good luck .... sure

Unfortunately you are not be covered. The same thing happened to me and I learned the hard way.

You need your own insurance, which should not cost much, if there is more to ensure that the things in your room. While his roommate went to mourn for more things than in his own policy, which is withheld from their application ... because under insured.
